Stout Pounders

Stout Pounders

Stout Pounders is a 7 piece Celtic rock band from Seattle bringing new energy to time tested Irish and Scottish folk music while mixing in originals with influences ranging from ska to metal.

Starting as simply an idea on St. Patrick’s Day 2006, when founding members gathered at a pub that lacked the vibe and entertainment they were looking for, it was proclaimed that one year from then they would be the band playing the pubs they enjoyed attending. The rest as they say is history! Stout Pounders grew in size, purpose and popularity, becoming one of the most sought after Celtic acts in the Pacific Northwest. Having played several festivals, pubs, theaters, and events from Canada to Arizona, Stout Pounders has proven to be the band people want to see.

The band is Darin Wallace: lead vocals, bodhran and tin whistle, Marc Wallace: acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, Christian Hoffman: Bouzouki and Tele-banjo guitar, Jimmy McKnight: Bagpipes, whistles and accordion, Alice Cloutier: fiddle, Amber Crea: Drums, Phil Tsai: Bass guitar.

With amazing energy, comedic elements, and solid musicianship the band has amassed a strong following and international fanbase of people who just want to have a fun time. Dancing and jigging is highly encouraged and they certainly won’t stop you from tipping back a drink or two along the way. Reserve your table here for this great St. Patrick’s Day (almost) event!

The Mod Squad

The Mod Squad

Mod Squad’ was formed almost by accident when founder Steve Crabtree was asked to host a ‘jam night’ at Bits, a cocktail bar where he’s had a long-term residency as a solo performer. This was not an open mic jam, it was an invite only jam. Steve invited several well-known and established local musician friends to come hang out and jam together. He mostly wanted to get all his musician friends in one room for a night and play together.

He asked friends Pat Coy and John Paredes to join him as the house band. Word got out about the jam night, and how good the house band is. In between jam nights, Steve, Pat and John began writing down all the songs they were playing and learning for the jam. The set lists they put together is a constantly growing set of their favorite songs from every era and every genre. They christened themselves, ‘Mod Squad’, fitting of the mood and the vibe of the trio. Together, Mod Squad has put together a very unique and super entertaining evening of songs you’ll recognize and love, but rarely hear them covered by anyone else. Reserve your table here.
